Leader of the pack won't bite :S
« on: 2007 February 13, 10:01:34 »
THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I summoned the leader of the pack in debug mode and made gim friends with a male sim but it won't bite him, they both have a daily and lifetime relationship of 100 with each other but it won't make the sim a wereworlf.

I can't seem to find a way to flag the sim as a werewolf in simpe either, but I'd like to see the animations and such...
Is there a hack or something to make my sims instant werewolves? and Does anybody have any idea why he leader of the pack won't bite?

greets,
ali

You can use the lot debugger or the inSim to make a Sim a werewolf.

The LOTP won't nibble a Sim if greeted, and the action is autonomous.
Your best bet is to have a Sim idle outside (macro-procrastinate or seat them on a bench) and wait for the LOTP to appear. Don't do anything, and the LOTP should get the action to "nibble" the Sim (who will have the action "be nibbled"). Allow this to work, and you have yourself a werewolf.

Any existing werewolf can turn another Sim by a succesful Savage.

Thanx for the info, I'm having trouble getting that stupid LOTP to come over autonomously... I guess I'll just have to make my sim wait outside then... :-/ inSim isn't getting anywhere near my game!

Greets,
Ali

Edit: Will werewolfs "stay werewolfs" when uploaded to the exchange? I would like to download one but I wonder if all you get is the esthetics?

Werewolves aren't aesthetic. They all have the same werewolf attributes when wolfed out, especially males. When not wolfed out, they look just like your sim usually does.

Ok, thanx!

I finally got the LOTP to bite and btw it does bite when summoned, your sim just need to ignore it and eventually it will come "nibbling" or whatever... Now to stary a bit off-topic, wasn't it possible for sims to make make offsrpings with robots? I'm trying to work on a few AlienRobotVampireWerewolfZombies...

Also my female Robot get's the front of a female face whenever she changes into formal wear, is that a "feature", 'cause it's annoying...

I thought robots couldn't breed?  Yeah, it's a feature - some people have used it to make cyborgs or androids rather than robots.

Those combos should work.
However vampires and werewolves don't really work well together (werewolf backtransform messes up the vamp teeth), and a vampire servo is doomed to die since he cannot recharge.

Oh, dewolfing restores vampire teeth now? Good.

Servo energy only restores in sunlight. Vampires tend to get an unpleasant sunburn. Ergo, Servo vampires are screwed...

Servos can also sleep in beds. Vampire Servo + coffin = No needs bottoming out.

Also, vampire Servos (or any Servo in fact) can't die, at least not by motive decay.

EDIT: Damn it, beaten.

I've never tried this, but presumably if a servo vampire shuts down to recharge, even in sun, it will be unharmed. Also, as Servo vampires lack kill motives, they cannot die this way anyway.

And Paladin has a nice indoor servo-charger anyway, which solves the sunlight problem.

Only if it's on the same floor as a bathroom.  If it's in a basement or on an upper floor with no bathroom, there's no problem.

IIRC that was only if it is in a room right next to the bathroom but if it is one room away then it is not a problem.

Oh cool! You guys have given me some awesome new ideas to try out in my game, I didn't know that bots were able to transform just like "human sims" do... Don't really make sense to me, for example how could a robot be turned into the "undeath" if it was never alive in the first place?

Anyhow, I'll just try and let one of me servo's get bitten ^^ That thing JM was talking about seems pretty cool! A recharging Vampire Servo in the sun!

Btw, Vampire werewolves work fine in my game, the only thing that could be a bit troublesome is that since vamps have to sleep from 7:00 to 19:00 and werewolves shapeshift at 20:00 you won't get to see much of a vampire...

Also when my sim was preggers (alienprobed) whenever he would change into maternety clothing he would lose his wolf hair and instead would get this weird bald "coupe". Has this happened to any of you?

I used to have a vampire werewolf zombie servo.
I had hell trying to keep him going.  The problem was recharging.  If I told him to recharge, he did indeed go for the coffin, not for the sunlight, but he wouldn't stay in the coffin until dark; he just got up again as soon as he was charged and ran back out in the sunlight.
If he had died it would be fine, but he'd just stand there, draining, and then run amock and break down.  Bloody useless thing.

Speaking of recharging servos...  I had to get rid of a fountain in the garden, because the sound kept the servo awake, so she couldn't recharge.  Odd, but OK...  Then a fricking helicopter brings her master home from work; deafening the maid and an innocent passer by, but it does not wake the servo.
