Restoring Pre-Nightlife Neighborhoods

Well, I've run into a problem trying to fix a broken relationship between a grandson and his grandmother (he had lost his family ties to her, and when I fixed the relationship with SimPE, it made him an adult living on a University lot) and have decided that I need to restore a backup copy of the neighborhood to fix this problem.  I have copies of all my neighborhoods that I had made prior to installing Nightlife.  I'm wondering, is simply transferring the pre-Nightlife folder sufficient to restore the neighborhood, or do I need to reinstall Nightlife entirely?

All you should need to do is replace the neighbourhood folder concerned with the back-up, as you would after you'd installed the expansion.
