See a Wolf and Leader of the Pack

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

One of my sims yesterday had a want to see a wolf.  He gets this occasionally and seeing the big white dog Arthob generally fills the want (I'm assuming this is an ordinary wolf).

Leader of the Pack Baxter arrived on the lot.  Cool, I thought.  Sim Mikey (not from here) was up and about and once again had the see a wolf want so I sent him out to greet Baxter.  He did so, easily, but the want wasn't met.  Baxter then promptly ran from the lot.

So random ordinary wolves ok for the want, but not LotP? Undecided

according to the ever reliable prima guide, the want to see a wolf is fulfilled the moment a wolf steps onto the lot. so if there's a wolf on the lot when the sim rolls the want it won't fill it. i'm not sure how the LOTP fits into that though.

Yes, this want is fulfilled even if the sim is on the other side of the lot on the third floor, sleeping, in the bathroom, or even away from the lot at work.  Angry This holds true for the fear as well. If the want or fear is rolled while a wolf is on the lot, it will not be fulfilled until the next occurrence.

I posted this awhile back as sort of an experimental "fix" but wasn't any feedback. *shrugs* I haven't been playing much or had a chance to really test it out. When I have the time, I might look into this further and figure out a way for the want to be satisfied while the wolf is on the lot. As it stands, the current version of the experimental fix limits it to sims who are awake, in the same room, and within viewing distance, but it only does it once, as soon as the wolf appears on the lot.

Sims have amasing x-ray vision.  I had a sim see a wolf while he was away at work.

it's safe to assume that sim's are always loafing at work Roll Eyes since they seem to know what is going on at home no matter what event it is
