Sorting by EP?

When downloading files that may not be fully labelled, is there a way to determine which EPs are needed BEFORE installing them in the game and not seeing them (or worse, causing crashes).

A good rule of thumb is to look at the modification date on the package file. Aside from that, I don't think there is a way.
