What hack allows choosing of family members who go downtown?

I thought it was the phone hack that allowed for a dialogue menu to pop up so you could choose who could go to town. This morning I clicked 'multiple sims' in the dialogue and everyone including the dog piled into the car. Shouldn't I have gotten a dialogue asking 'is Bozo going?' 'is Bozo's wife going?' Do I have the proper hack for this? Thanks

phonehack only works for this purpose if you use the taxi.

Aaaahhh! Thank you, thought I'd lost this ability too, had to cancel sims going yesterday 'cos of the baby being alone.

We tried making this work on cars, but it caused weird artifacts with sims not going at all. The most reliable way to get sims to go with a car is to form them into a group. A fast way of doing this may be added in the near future.

I had endless problems with groups, they'd just stop for no reason, or conversely I wouldn't be able to stop them once home. All sorts of mucking around. I gave up on them.
