Where's the dog's body?
« on: 2006 November 07, 16:38:24 »
THANKS THIS IS GREAT

This just happened when I entered the lot:  Huh

The dog's body seems to have disappeared somewhere. The other dogs in the household are fine. I don't remember adding any hacks since I last played, just some objects and stuff. When loading the lot I got an error about plastic poppies, which I deleted, but they shouldn't have anything to do with the dogs and no other errors have appeared. What did I do wrong?

Well, you can fix the icon with the Lot Debugger's Regenerate Icons command, but I'm not sure what's wrong with the dog!

Ah, the old pet-in-the-floor trick. Smiley  Try forcing an error on the dog -- that should fix it.

This happened to me too with a dog I downloaded, the dog was fine until he hit the elder stage then it looked like the dog in you picture. I forced error on the dog, deleted him used the lot debugger nothing helped he finally died of old age. The sims could interact with him as if he was there. So if you find a work around that helps let me know. Smiley

I suggest that a backup of the neighborhood's characters should be made, and when this problem appears, compare the differences in the dog's character files.

Try changing appearance in the mirror?

I would have suggested kicking the dog in it's head, but I'm pretty sure that option isn't in the game... YET! *Waits for a dog flamingo to kick*
