I had this problem and the culprit was Squinge's Teens Age to YA without College hack. The pets won't age or reproduce with that in. I took it out, and both of my stuck pregnancies unstuck and I now have a litter of pups and kits!

I know, I know...NON-AWESOME. But for those of you playing with that hack, it's a good thing to know.

Thanks for that tip, Brynne...I'd hate to get messed around and not know why.

I imagine a person should be careful in dealing with the stuck-pregnancy issue.

You wouldn't want to overcorrect for the problem and cause your pet to deliver prematurely. (Who knows what unpleasantness would result then?)

Just think Sloth from Goonies, Hills Have Eyes Residents, or Jason from the first three Friday the 13th movies and you'll get an idea of what I mean.

are there any other hacks that produce that effect?  I've been hunting and hunting and I think I've weeded out the incompatible things but I still have several stuck pet pregnancies.  I must admit I've never had this much trouble with a new expansion pack before so I'm rather inexperienced at tracking down problems...

On the subject of pet pregnancies...the "I'm too pregnant to go to work" thing then getting a job performance hit for not going sucks

Because I tried the "Propose, Move In" to a dormie and it popped up with a "You cannot move anyone in until the babies are born!" message.  I have a wombat and a bird, and this is a college rental property.  I've been having too many problems with that stupid college.   Roll Eyes
I just got this message also, but I was in the Strangetown neighborhood.  I tried to move in General Buzz and Buck in with Vidcund.  Both families do not have any pets. Angry  I removed my hacks folder and still got the message.  I had to resort to the tombstone of L&D to get the move.  Any ideas?  Anyone else having this trouble?

I had that problem.  It is a bug in Pets if the family exceeds six members.  Tongue  Syberspunk posted a fix for it in another thread, which worked for me.  I'll see if I can find it.

Here it is:

LOL, I had just asked Ste to put his hack in Peasantry, so Venusy split the topic.  The link I posted was correct at the time I posted it.  Wink

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I'm actually having serious problems with pet pregnancy, I have two dogs who's pregnancies seem "stuck", both have been pregnant for more than a sim week and no puppies.

One is a big/small dog pairing one is a big/big dog pairing.  I have tried forcing errors with debug to reset them, I have tried the tombstone of L & D (but there is no speed up pregnancy for pets).  I've tried moving the family out and back into the same lot, and out and into a brand new just placed, never been built on or played on lot. I have taken out all mods/hacks, and all CC.

The chimes played for both dogs and the try for puppies option has disappeared, and the pets refuse to go to work since "someone as pregnant as me should stay home and rest"  In one family it's a single male sim and two dogs, on another lot it's a single father with a teen, a child, and two dogs so space shouldn't be an issue in either case.

However another big/big dog pair, and a cat pairing, on different lots both had their litters without incident, and looking around several forums I don't seem to be the only one who has this issue either.  I'd appreciate any advice and can provide error logs if wanted/needed.
That is so odd my dog worked right up to delivery ...Im not kidding either..the minute she hopped out of the car.  New puppies are on the way!..One time it crashed my game. But it did it again anyway. No option to stay at home for my petz.

One of my Sim dogs had that happen to her as well:  she kept working until those puppies were to be born.  In fact, the queue was spammed with actions to deliver the puppies while she was at work!  She finally popped those pups out on the street when she got home, poor thing.   Undecided

If you know the pet is due to have the litter, you can call the pet's job and tell them the pet is sick.

It would be more intuitive for it to work like Sim pregnancies.  Undecided  Pregnancy isn't a sickness, after all.

Yes it is. It's a parasitic infestation.
