Zombie Cat?

Expansion isn't out here till Friday so I can't test this myself, but can you bring dead pets back to life with the Ressurect-O-Nomitron, and so get zombie pets? How about vampires? Can they bite pets? Can you end up with the all-powerful vampire zombie tabby?

According to the guide (someone posted parts of it on the sims2 website) you can resurrect pets but they will always come back normal, not as zombies. I don't think you can have a vamp pet but you can have a werewolf who you then turn into a vamp.

I don't have either the game or the guide, but I thought the main points with pets was that they couldn't die, ever, from anything other than old age.  Has that changed in the shipping version, or was that ressurrection thing thrown in as a backdoor for when people do start modding in their own pest poison?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought you could ressurect sims that died of old age, but they just got shunted back to the start of the lifestage?

Resurrecting a sim that dies of old age just gives you an elder at the start of the elder life stage.
