They work, thanks! Also, any variants of passwords are because you can select an option to attach a Personalized String to any unlocked goodies, so you can have
"PescadoROX Pink Fur Color for Dogs" appear instead of "Pink Fur Color for Dogs" when your friend uses the code.

O On" there will be a key icon which, when highlighted, will say "Click to view unlocked assets and generate Sims Gift Codes to share your new content!"
At the bottom-right corner of the Unlocked Sims Gift Codes window, there should be another key icon with a 0101 under it.

I'd have to look in SimPE once Quaxi gets it working, but more than likely they just hid those breeds with a 9 flag or something like that in which case, like the npc and work clothes, it wouldn't be any big deal to unlock.

Umm about that, I think that this new Accessory.cache file in my user folder might be something. I tried opening it in SimPE (GLS version) and it's all gibberish to me. Maybe someone who speaks random hex code strings would know how to make sense of it. So I'm not sure about that 9 flag thingy, but after testing removing it, I can say this is the file that stores the data of which things you've unlocked.

The current QA version of SimPE should be Pets compatible. Quaxi posted some XML on page 31 of the QA thread which, if added to SimPE's expansion.xreg, adds Pets compatibility.

For obvious reasons I have not been able to confirm this myself.

I just picked up the EP at Target over my lunch hour and the code for the Star Dalmation is:

TB6IPB1R1FDMRIQT6DG

I checked it against this thread and the Wiki article and didn't see that it had been posted yet. (The Wiki article lists a star coat pattern but it is a different code).  I am still at work so obviously haven't had the chance to install and try it out yet.

I read somewhere that there should be an option to change a pet's appearance via the mirror (for adding collars, etc), but when I click on the mirror, there is no such option for this. Is this another bug, or am I just smoking crack?

Yeah, check your hacks to see if you have any ones regarding mirrors such as the visitorenabledmirror and custom mirrors. Those are supposedly giving problems.
