Questions regarding Cleaning Neighborhood for Nightlife

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

At the risk of losing my lips, I have some questions regarding getting my game ready for Nightlife.

Before installing Nightlife, I want to un & re-install University; NOT create any Universities in my game (I hate sending them to college).  It's so boring there.

I also want to use SimPe to Export my favorite Sims to BodyShop, and create totally new families as my game has over 500 Sims in it and is getting very messed up, even with all your wonderful hacks.  I figure it's either now or before the next EP, so I might as well start over now.

WHAT folders (if any), besides the Downloads folder, should I move back into the game once everything is installed? As I plan to wipe out my families and start over, I really want to save my Downloads, my BodyShop Sims, and houses in the House Bin.  But I don't know where these folders are located (except for Downloads, that is).

Is there an easy way to save a decorated house with Sims already living there? Can I package the house, Sims & all into the House Bin.  Then, install the Lot Only into the neighborhood, once I install NL?

I also want to use the "delete all characters" cheat and create my own Townies. Does anyone know if the Count and the Gypsy are Townies or NPC's?   I wouldn't want to use Delete All Characters along with the "No Townie Regenerate" hack and then not have them show up. Perhaps I could "delete all" after installing University, but before installing Nightlife? Or might some of the Nightlife Townies have memories of previous EP Townies?

Oy, I'm getting a headache.

If I've overlooked anything, please let me know! Thanks!!

Downloads: \My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads
BodyShop Sims: \My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\SavedSims
Houses in the House Bin: \My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\LotCatalog

Unfortunately I do not have Nightlife so I cannot answer the last questions.  If you want a decorated house and not the family, I tend to export the lot to file (gets saved in \My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\PackagedLots) then reimport using the Sims2Pack Clean Installer.  This way you can install the furnished house without the family by clicking on the house symbol in the top right hand corner and selecting install Smiley

"delete all characters" will delete NPC's as well as the townies.  The game just generates new townies and npc's as needed while you play after that, I think the gypsy and count/ess would be NPC's but don't take my word for it.  You can expect a momentary slow down when a new character is being generated by the way.
