my curious alien children dont have a father showing up in their family tree. i am using the multi pollination by fwiffo, tailored to exclude the original pt from being picked. it worked when i was testing it out, but i dont save my test lots. i was going to fix it in simpe but the new pt's dont show up in the family editor. am i looking in the right place? do i need to test again and save the test lots? am i doing something wrong?
i do have the patch for nl, i know that was causing problems with alien offspring.

do you have OFB?

NL stopped the PT appearing in family trees, he was restored with OFB - I suspect this is the cause of your problem.

When I was using the fwiffo's hack (with OFBp2) I had the same "problem".  Heaven knows what the actual issue is, as I don't believe the hack has been re-written since Uni or so; that was the only part that didn't "work" for me, though.  Having no alien parent fulfills the "allow alien spawn to marry" aim of the original hack as well as having different alien parents, I suppose.

yes i do have ofb. and the missing parent is only on this lot, this time. when i was testing it (curious, grunt, beaker, and a cas male) the pictures were correct. but now when i am playing on this lot, its not working. which is fine, i will fix it if i can find the darned pictures.

I've had exactly the same problem. I thought I'd fixed it by replacing the Pollination Technician files in the downloads folder, since they'd had all their internal bits removed and were just 1 kb blank shells, but now I'm having issues where the alien parent shows up in some neighborhoods and not others. Oddly, in the neighborhood that's giving me problems, at least one of the aliens does show up, but the others don't.

Note that this hack often did not work at all in Nightlife. At least in OFB it doesn't kill the abduction thing entirely.

i got an answer over at aberation. yippie! i figured since i wasnt the only one having the problem then i should come back and tell what happened.
