THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Alright. Here's the deal. I just moved a few days ago, and everything is in boxes. I still want my Sims 2 fix, but I'm not sure where the CD is! Is there any way I can play without the disc, and if so, how would I go about doing such a thing?

Thanks!

That's like STEALING!.  You'll go to prison or worse.  Shame on you!

just joking Smiley

You need a mini-image, Daemon tools and software to hide your dirty need.  Daemon tools is software that allows you to simulate the presence of a drive.  You can mount an image (copied from a CD) and it will act as if a drive was present with the cd in it.  A mini-image is a copy of a cd, that contains only the copy protection part of the CD.  It's meant to fool games like TS2 that relies on the cd being present.  And since many games these days, detect that you are using a virtual drive, you need another bit of software to hide what you are doing form it.

Argon provided us with a mini-image here : http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,5410.250.html.  However that image is for Glamour I believe.
