Better Photo taking

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

As one can see from my avatar, I suck when it comes to photo taking in my game.
Any hints on how to get better game play pictures?
I really would like to upload a great story on live journal but, I just can't get the photos right.

Hit the "tab" key.  Then you can zoom in closer using the arrow keys.  You can then take a picture with the "c" key.  You can also use "z" to zoom in and "x" to zoom out.  "q" will move the camera down, and "e" will move it up.  When you have taken your pictures, hit "tab" again to get your control panel back.  I hope this helps.

Oh well at least I have my favorite CAS sim and his wife as my avatar(so far)

Edit
thank you for the link Nova, maybe now I'll  be a better picture taker in the future.

In addition to using the game's cameraman mode, I'd suggest installing Gunmod's Radiance Light System. Lighting is really important to photo-taking (in real life or in a video game) and lighting can create all sorts of different and dramatic moods. After installing Gunmod's hack, I was able to take pictures like these:

They have not been photoshopped (except for being resized) and are actually screen shots from my movie. The next one I have enhanced in Paint Shop Pro. It doesn't hurt to adjust the contrast levels!

Hope that helps. =)

First off, is possible, adjust your video settings higher, because the quality seems quite low in your avatar pic.
Also, take pictures with walls up!! Try to keep the shot simple and close up instead of trying to take a shot of the whole room.  That's all I do and I get nice pictures too.

Eh? XD I post on the sims2 LJ community (don't have a blog but I do have an LJ account) but I don't believe I've posted my Lie and Crave pic there. The only places where I have posted it are  insimenator.net and sims2community.com and you've probably seen it at either of these forums. 8D

I knew I've seen those photos somewhere before.  Sims 2 community!

How high should I go on the video settings?

As high as your computer will allow.  Even if the game will barely run that way, because you can always set them back for real game play after your pictures have been taken.

I find that if you focus on something small, your pictures will come out better than normal.  Focus on the sims nose, eyes, or eye brows, and try to find the feeling for that pic.

I think my problem is when I take pictures in the game, I have the setting for large photos. Hmmm that's gotta be it!
