Generate male only/female only Townies

Good Morning!

Is there any way to have the option that when making a new neighborhood, to generation only male townies or only female townies?  I do like the Visitor controller, but i would love to create a neighborhood with just one sex.

No option to do this automatically. You'll have to generate all townies one by one to make sure they're of one gender only.

I thought I saw an option on the tree to set gender first and then generate the townies - is that what you mean?

Generate all townies ignores the options, those are only used for individual townie generating (make townie).

Hm, at least that would still be faster than creating them all in CAS.

The tree is one of Maxis' debugging tools. Do a search on this forum for townie generating for detailed info.

when you are in debug mode (boolprop testingcheatsenabled true) and you shift click on a sim you can spawn an npc townie maker, which looks like a dead tree. (just like the one at the crypto club downtown) So once that tree is spawned you can make townies/npcs/vampires/grand vampires etc. You can also set the gender beforehand, but I guess apparently it only lets you spawn one at a time that way (with gender chosen as previously stated)

Oh, it will /allow/ you to fine-tune the settings always, but even if you select S1 male teen if you use any of the generate all functions it will ignore all these settings. Settings are only checked when you generate townies or NPCs one-by-one.

For NPCs I suggest ALWAYS using 'smart age', and keep in mind males can't be nannies nor females repo men etc..
