It drives me absolutely batty when my family sim comes home from work and then proceeds to waste a half hour spreading her arms out like an idiot, waiting for someone to come up and give her a medal for working or whatever.
Is there any way to suppress that behavior?

First they came for the Wal-Marts, and I said nothing because I was not tacky...

It's even funnier now I use the smartserve food hack and they bring a pizza home from work and wave that about everywhere. I just cancel the action out, which curtails it a bit.

Ancient, I'll woe the day when you feel compelled to do a clean-install. I'm finding myself looking for your posts, just so I can read about your game development. You must spend your playing time alternately laughing, being utterly surprised, or (almost) crying. By the way, I'm planning on pinning your YOOS article onto the board in the faculty lounge, with full credit ofcourse. Do I have your permission to do so?

By the way, I'm planning on pinning your YOOS article onto the board in the faculty lounge, with full credit ofcourse. Do I have your permission to do so? By all means do so. If the government won't teach Americans the truth about ENGLISH, I will gladly take the job. Incidentally, you can read one of my neighbourhood stories here: http://www.simmingmonthly.com. Another to come next month! When I get around to it I will either add a section to my site or start a new one. My Sims are as mad as I am and deserve exposure. Well, apart from Don Lothario. He exposes himself quite enough as it is (I have crammyboy's penis hack ... rofl).

Ancient, that is too funny; poor Mortimer.
Nice Magazine with a lot of great information. I shall be keeping an eye out for the next issue.

Droewyn, I posted a little while back with the same request, in a thread called "Stop boasting about being demoted", which might interest you.

I have dizzy2's smartserve hack too, but no one has brought home pizza. How does that happen?

I could swear that I already have a hack that does that. *searches Downloads folder* Yep - hugginghack by JMP. It's on the site already --> hugginghack.zip. ANNOYANCES ELIMINATED: The parent-home-from-work hug will no longer wipe out your entire queue.
COMPATIBILITY: This hack is fully compatible with all FFS hacks. Tested for TS 1.0p1-p2 and TS2U v1.0.

* Pescado is batshit crazy, and thus it's not safe to say what he could or would do. Pescado: You're a weird and freaky Baratron. Pescado: Also, all Baratrons suck. Read my Sims 2 stories!

Yes, the hugging hack does stop the child's queue from being wiped, but it doesn't stop the moronic boasting and waving arms about by the Family sim parent! And clicking it off doesn't always work, either, they can still carry on until they've finished!

HA!
At least that only happens once a day ... I get driven to distraction trying to stop any two sims that wander within sight of each other from beating on each other (red hands/punch you-me) until they fall asleep from exhaustion.

Well, it's better than ventrilo-farting every darn stranger! except when they play punch-you-punch-me with a Leo with only one nice point - then they get punched REALLY hard!

Yeah buyable fire. I would like to see this gone too. Not as annoying as cheering but come on, they bring someone home from work and act like that? Fools.

And if the one the bring home is a romance sim, they spend the next ten minutes swooning! (If they're female, that is..)
