Shortcuts worked for TS1, but as far as my brief testing has shown, it doesn't work for TS2. The MP3 files have to be in there.

You can use hard links (if you know how to). Since this can wreck your filesystem if done improperly and I don't feel like explaining, I'll say "can't be done", though.
