HELP PLEASE (diagonal wndows)

how do i build windows and doors on a diagonal? it's drivng me nuts, and i'm stupid. please help?

No, you're not being stupid.  Sometimes it can be frustrating to get them to behave.  You drag the wall on the diagnol and then place the windows/doors.  Now, some windows cannot be placed diagnolly (not sure about the doors) - you'll just have to try them all until you find the right ones.

Turn OFF the moveobjects on cheat, since having it ON will prevent you from placing doors and windows on a diagonal wall. I'm just going to assume that that's your problem, because other than this, placing windows and doors on diaginal walls is exactly the same as placing them on a regular wall.

If you are using custom windows or doors (new meshes) they might not have meshes for the diagonals. In which case, you can't use them on diagonal walls.

Also, one thing I noted is that some of the diagonal doors have a funny bug in that if your sim is inside a room with a diagonal door, and you try to queue up a cooking action, the only thing you see is "instant meal" as if your sim was not on the lot.

I'm not sure if that is for all diagonal doors but I used to see the problem pretty consistently before I stopped using them out of annoyance.

That's a known issue, and also one with a bathroom behind a diagonal door.
