IP adresses?

I noticed my IP address as it shows here is different to what it shows on my connection info, I'm wondering does anyone know if this may be my firewall masking my real ip info or is it possible I'm being rerouted somewhere (which might account for my rather large upsurge in mb usage).  Ive run umpteen spyware checks etc and all checks out ok.

yes there is a setting in most firewalls that will mask your IP

If you have a router, your internal IP (within the network) will be different than the IP which is broadcasted to the net. So your connection info will show a different IP than any websites you are on. Your external IP is your real IP for all intents and purposes.
