SimPE question - What's the 'Timestamp' token for?

I've been seeing these 'Timestamp' tokens in sims' memories. Some of these just says [invisible] Token - Timestamp{}, some others will include a (Gossip about so-&-so (Sim ID)) after it (e.g. [invisible] Token - Timestamp (Gossip about Mary-sue Pleasant (0x2DAE704F)){}, what do these things do? Anyone know? And is it ok to delete?

I've wondered about those myself, but I don't know what they are either.  You might have more luck asking on the SimPE forum.
