I think it's permanent.

And that is why it only has a meaningful effect once. Once they're wearing what you want them to, what's the use of suggesting anything?

I haven't actually tried, but according to the prima guide the takeout chinese is not sellable. You can however put ramen on the menu if you have a microwave on the lot.

I always wondered why ramen is microwave only...I always make my ramen on the stove.
And I often refuse to give sims microwaves..they set them on fire way too often.

I never make ramen in the microwave either.

And I remember the original Prima Guide for the base game reccomended getting a microwave saying that sims couldn't set it on fire. Boy did I ever get a shock when I followed their advice!

Fires and fear of fires are the main reasons lots of my sims live on chef salad!  I buy them an expensive counter to up the food value and don't buy anything flamable till they ALL have enough cooking points not to wreck the place.  A salad bar should be safe from fire! 

I'd like a pizza place too!

The slim chance of fire and the loss of a small amount of aspiration points is a silly reason to make your sims vegans. 

Sims want MEAT! From the hidden Sim farm where synthetic cattle and turkeys are bread and slaughtered. Has anyone been to the Sim Abattoir yet? lol

It depends if you play knowledge sims or not. I find them annoying and tend not to so it's really not an issue for me. But for them they always seem to fear fire.

Now having fires in a restaurant, and you CAN have them on a community lot now at least if it's an owned business, tends not to be good for business.

Are you sure? I've had visitors come over, use the on-site oven, leave the food in it and walk away. I waited for the fire (for some twisted reason) but it never started. Maybe only your playables can start fires on community lots?

Possibly. I don't know about visitors but I can tell you my playables sure as hell managed to do it.

Because its the only thing that can DESTROY them.  I agree on the fire thing though.  That wimpy little flame couldn't scare off a housefly.  That's why I use the bad-ass-fire hack.
