I had heard they had been bought by another company some years back.  Unfortunately, the King's Quest series is a thing of the past, but I see they're still making the Leisure Suit Larry games!

No, not Roberta Williams making it, but a nod from Ken Williams is pretty good!  KQ8, Mask of Eternity came out in '98 according to my cd sleeve, so 8 years is a long time between sequels.  Will have to get it when it comes out, just to see if it's up to the KQ standard!

Thanks for the link!  Last I had heard, when Sierra was bought out, all the great games the Sierra team had been doing were just going to disappear.  I checked for awhile after that, but gave up after a few months (or maybe a year).  I think their website had said something to the effect that they wouldn't be doing any more adventure games.

It's been awhile, so I'm not sure if that's correct or not, just what I seem to remember about it.

Edit:  Just read a little more on that website, and yes, I remembered correctly.  Nice to know it will be freeware, too!
