23 Professors?

Started a neighbourhood from scratch, I'd deleted all characters (duh). Haven't played it much - exported some townies and moved three sims into a dorm. I have no townie/dormie respawn. Looking in SimPE it's spawned 23 professors - is this normal? The moved in sims haven't even been to class yet...

It makes a male and female professor for each major. I think there's at least eight majors, so that would account for at least 16 of them. Don't know why you'd have an odd number (if it makes 2 per major).

There are elven majors, so you should have 22 professors. But that's not including undelcared. I'm not sure if it has it's own professors.

Uneclared used to use the same majors as Philosophy, but Philosophy would still generate two more if you switched.  It doesn't appear to use the same professors any more.  Used to be you'd get grade points by making friends with all 4 profs.

I do all my hoods using deleteall.. and no spawning, so yes that's normal.  As soon as you make a college town it will make professors.  The other NPCs like the mascots, streakers, etc will be generated little at a time as you play your college town..

Professor No. 23 is a Secret society member.  No-one has classes with him, he just turns up - I imagine he is checking out whether anyone on the lot is suitable fodder for the cow-plant, or would alternatively make a useful additon to the Secret society!
