Can't be the only one who sees something wrong with this

Game dev admits in an underhanded way, that you're supposed to like Sims because it will 'grow' with expansion packs and updates.

For those too lazy to click the link, here's the quote.

"‘Hey, we're building a foundation with the base game that we're gonna continue to build on and continue to expand', that's just me talking.
But then when you actually do it and you add content in, and you add pools and you add ghosts and you add some career updates, and you add a Game pack and a Stuff pack, and all of these things adding up to each other that we come out with every month."

It really opens my eyes. All these other game devs who release complete games, they've been doing it wrong. You're not supposed to release a game complete. You're supposed to release the bare minimum and make people wait for updates, and store content. That's what makes a good game.
