Sims2UC and Store Edition content conflict

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Well, sort of conflict.  It's a minor irritation developing into one where I'd much rather torch the EA facility.  Either way...

Desktop died. My son gave me a new laptop.  Starting fresh, I decided to utilize the Sims2 version EA so kindly offered for free last year.  Downloaded no problem.  Chucked in the back-up files from rescued hoods.  First problem - UC would not recognize the hoods.  Went on an internet search for a solution.  Found one.  Used the fine little round-about suggested in the thread.  Restarted the game.  All hoods work fine.

Second problem - All the Store Edition purchased content that worked great before the Hood fix no longer work.  They aren't even displayed in the Build/Buy catalogues.  Took everything out of folders, left them nilly-willy in the Downloads file. Nothing.  Switched them out for hacked store content.  Nothing.  Did a repair on the game.  Nothing.  I have searched the internet for two weeks now and this problem seems to have no solution, or has never been addressed.

So, as a last ditch effort, I come to you.  It has been my understanding over the years that if folks at this forum can't come up with a solution to a problem, might as well burn the game.

Will you please help me?  What could be the problem as to why the UC will not recognize the Store content?

Thank you very much for your consideration of this issue.

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Gladly!  Please accept my apologies for not posting that in the initial thread.

Here. (for reading in context)
More specifically -

"If you use an already installed version instead, such as the Origin version:

Using Explorer, navigate to the installed directory of the Store Edition (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Store Edition).

You should see at least TSBin and TSData folders, probably a CSBin one as well along with some separate files. Select them all, Right click the selection and choose Copy from the context menu.

Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Fun With Pets in Explorer - you might want to do this in a separate window. Right click an empty area in the folder and choose New > Folder. Change the name to EP99.

Navigate inside the EP99 folder, right click an empty area in the folder and choose Paste. Copying the files may take a little while, so be patient.

You should end up with three folders inside the EP99 folder: CSBin, TSBin and TSData."

And then I followed the rest of the directions up to the Sidenote at the bottom.  I felt the sidenote was not necessary.
