Guys, I'm sorry to necro (and hijack this thread, because my reading comprehension is 0 today, but I've already edited myself out of the ACTUAL WCIF thread) but I'm unsuccessfully trying to find nocollegeobsession or something similar to stop my students' Want panels being completely clogged with wishes to see other Sims go to uni - I'm playing in such a way that they only do uni-related tasks when they roll a want for it, so obviously some Sims are falling at the first hurdle because of these stupid obsessive wishes. (For example, I used InSim to max out one sim's Want panel to 6 and every single want was to see some other random jerk join uni with him. He's almost finished the first semester and he's done no work at all.) Obviously by playing in this way there are going to be some Sims who don't make it, but he's only the third to go to college so this isn't looking good for future college-Sim behaviours, if that makes sense.

Anyway, I found a link to the nco mod over in the Sims Wiki and followed it here (it took me to the 2005 Hack Descriptions thread), saw it listed as Nightlife compatible and looked for it in the relevant index but I couldn't see it listed even with Ctrl+F. I've done a site-wide search for "nocollegeobsession" and similar search terms here and in Google and I've had no luck locating the file. Do I take it that the mod was taken down because of obsolescence, or for some other reason? Am I just going to have to suck it up and accept my neighbourhood of dropouts?

Excellent stuff, I really appreciate that. I have no idea how I've missed the mod if it is still on-site, but given the state of my earlier posts today I probably shouldn't be surprised.
