New Store Patch 2.0

To install this update, please start your game and use the "Downloads" tab in your Launcher.

This Store update includes the following changes:

Updated objects to properly display snow and frost in winter with The Sims 3 Seasons installed.
Updated vehicle rigs to support water/snow FX from tires in inclement weather with The Sims 3 Seasons installed.
Updated fences to display the correct level of snow thickness in winter with The Sims3 Seasons installed.
Unlocked all Store purchased mailboxes for use in "buydebug" mode.
Fixed a compatibility issue with the Galactic Simball Arcade and the Atomic Jack Planet Attack Pinball Machine.
*A game restart is required for updates made while the game is running.

Well at least the store team is attempting to finally recognize expansions when they're released. Naturally they've left out "updating all the CAS stuff for outerwear" and all of the other content that still need re-touching. We're in the 16th installment of the game and there are still unCAStable items in the store, not to mention those fucking hot tubs.

I thought I read they had already updated the store clothing for Outerwear, if you had the purchased set.  It probably wouldn't show up for ARRed store stuff.

Does the Store patch still work on Decrapped items? I've never bothered with the other Store patch because it wasn't anything I really needed, but I do want this patch.

Yes, just make sure to decrap it.

Does it work if your store content is in .packages?

KT, I was wondering what to do in the case of having both package and decraped store files. I have all of the packages that Moyire (sp?) made before s/he quit making them and then moved into decrapping everything else since. I have thought of just decraping all the store stuff, but some of the links to the older stuff don't seem to work anymore and it doesn't seem to have been reposted/reuploaded.

Any advice?

KT did have a copy of it uploaded to Mediafire, but they've gone delete-crazy recently.  Here's an untouched copy of it.

If your Launcher is allowed to connect to the interwebs it will offer to generate one for you, too. Even without Origin, surprisingly.

However, I'm having trouble with it. I have a mix of packages (most things) and sims3pack (neighborhoods, counters), all decrapped as CCMagic and the Launcher don't handle undecrapified Store shit. So I decrapped the content patch, but ended up with a lot of blank thumbnails in buy mode:


Removing the patch made the buggy thumbnails go away. I'll try it in Overrides instead of ContentPatch as recommended in the store fixes thread, but it's kind of stupid that it's not working when it's in the place it's logically supposed to go.

This is Pescado:  there is no launcher, there is no connecting to EA servers, there is no EA account.  This is one of those things you learn when you LURK MOAR.
