Pulling Guitar songs from the game

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

So this might earn me MATYs stupid question of the year but I did do a search and was only returned one result which was not at all what I was looking for. Anyway here goes.

I'd like to pull the songs from the game that you learn by leveling up a skill with that instrument as well as the songs you learn from the compositions.
I've looked all through the CD and installed game directories (I have all expansions and stuff packs) and not seen anything that sounded familiar.
It's probably just something simple I'm over looking but I was wondering if any of you knew where it was or how to do it.
Thanks in advance.

Most of the Sims 3 audio files are in the FullBuild01.package. You'll find a bunch of 'Guitar-***' files in there. These have to be extracted and converted, a process discussed in this thread on MTS: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=418050

Probably the greatest find ever:

http://llnw.thesims3.com/sims3_asset/sims3_asset/contentAssets/sims3music/

There's a lot of other stuff up on there, including exchange items.
Feel free to poke around till your heart's content.

I can tell I'm going to like this thread, I've been idly poking around for something like this too, as well as for the game's other songs.

That doesn't include many songs that aren't on the official soundtrack, short of a few radio station ones. =\

Thanks for the link but it's not exactly what I'm looking for.

Then you'll be happy to know I've been slowly ripping the songs. I'll zip them and put them on 4shared it's just taking me forever LOL

Ooh, wonderful. Can't wait for that to be done, hehe. What format are you using for the rips, BTW? MP3 VBR (variable bit rate) tends to give the best quality in the smallest files, but for some reason not many people know of it or what it does =\
