Grey Lot Problem

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I have been building this home in the new neighbourhood from Late Night and didn't encounter a problem until my last save. After I restarted the game, the lot where I am building on is grey. When I go into build/buy mode, it transfers me to another lot. I've tried to use the .backup save but that didn't help. Is there a way for me to fix the saved game file?

I am using Windows 7, with all Sims 3 EP/SP, fully updated with awesomemod.
I have store contents and custom contents (objects & CAS only). No other hacks.

Your lot has become corrupt.  Have you tried scanning your cc with Delphy's Dashboard to find broken packages?

Yup I did, I found some packages that were broken and fixed that, but I'm not sure if that did any good after I found out the lot was grey.... Undecided

You might have to delete the lot and start over.

Oooh, I have another suggestion/tip/choice/method for you!

Next time, put your CC through a scanner to OK it FIRST, before spending hours on a lot you'll have to delete because of bad CC.
