Neighborhood missing from game, intact in documents folder

Hello,

Yesterday I uninstalled my copy of Store Edition because it ate my Asian Fusion items.  I'd made double sure to back up my neighborhood before I'd even installed it so it wouldn't be an issue.  Once it was uninstalled, I went to put the old neighborhood etc. back in, only to find that the files were still where I'd left them.  But when I run the game, there are no neighborhoods at all.  Does anyone know what can be done to fix this?

Try dragging your neighborhood folders out of the game, put your backups in, and run the game.

This, and delete the "NeighborhoodManager.package". Leaving the old one in is usually the reason why replaced neighborhoods don't show up at all. A new NeighborhoodManager.package will be generated when you start the game.

It didn't much care for my most recent save, though it let me have the second most recent.  Its new thing is apparently to take issue with LotAdjusted lots.  I'll have to rebuild them.
