Doors Stuck Open/In Use

You all probably have noticed that sometimes doors on The Sims 2 get stuck open and you can't delete them as they are 'In Use' unless you use move_objects on. Is there a mod anywhere that prevents doors from getting stuck open? I've tried searching but I couldn't find anything.

I've found that having a wall phone right next to a door makes it get stuck, even with the fix in.

I'm going to make a wild and unorthodox proposal here: DON'T DO THAT. Having a wall phone right in a door tile is stupid for many reasons, anyway.

It wasn't meant as a criticism of the fix, just as an observation. It's not something I normally do but I ended up discovering it when I was building houses on 1x1 lots and didn't have a lot of free space for the phone.
