French sim unable to gain "Chosen" state?

I love the Awesomemod and made my main family Chosen then when the son grew up and married a French sim I tried to put the attribute on her and couldn't get it to take.
Oddly when she gave birth though I could put the attribute on her child.  So out of a household of six sims only 5 are actually "Chosen".

Why wouldn't the mod apply to her too?

Try removing the chosen state from the household, then reapply it.  Also, try disablingtraitcaps, then try adding the chosen trait.

I have found some sims, usually premade EAxis ones, fail to add the extra traits as they age if they already have a chosen trait.  I overcome it by disablingtraitcaps, adding the extra traits, and then play.

You don't actually need to give it to everyone in the household, as long as a sim is tagged Sacred in the household, the entire household is protected anyway.
