where do the patch file go after downloaded?

i downloaded and installed it from the launcher. i need to know where do the patch file is after it is downloaded so i dont need to download it again if i reinstall sims 3

Look in ProgramData\ Electronic Arts\ EADM\ cache, it will stick it in there in a folder somewhere. It will be erased as soon as you exit launcher; possibly as soon as the patch is installed, so you'll need to be quite quick to get it.
