Disembodied Stringy Torso Sim

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I've looked around and found nothing that answers this problem. My friend has a sim who has, throughout toddler, child and teen years had a weird body (pics attached), but this isn't the usual stretchy toddler/child problem. There are no modifications installed, just the base game and a sufficient graphics card, yet persistently sims go from normal to weird stringy body. At the moment it doesn't affect gameplay; it's just a creepy annoyance, but help would be appreciated.

I wonder if it's the outfit. Has your friend tried to change the outfit? I have two child outfits that literally create invisible torsos, and I can't figure out how to delete them.

P.S. that's freaking creepy.

shirt looks like a maternity shirt from the base game. Did you ever install the maternity wear for teens? if so, that /might/ be it.

Yeah, she's tried changing it four or five times, all with the same result, but because it seems to affect sims from toddler to elderhood, I'm thinking possibly it's something they wear from the start that screws things up, as if wearing it once causes the glitch permanently. Not sure though.

She randomly downloaded loads of files from the booty over at PMBD, so there's a chance, but I doubt it's related to the maternity wear because it affects a few other sims, but this is the only one she took pics of.

Still, I'll tell her to steer clear of that outfit on future sims and check the downloads. Thanks for the replies!

The only thing I've ever seen that causes issues like that is a t-shirt with a vampire or something on the front, that has a screwy mesh. Shows up in the launcher named .nkd I believe. I don't know if that could be the cause of this particular problem or not.

Someone in one of my communities had the same or similar problem but with children. It turned out to be some nude clothing that was apparently just broken. She located the files and deleted them, no more problem.

One day in college I was feeling very stupid. So I drove with Ben down to Maitland and toured EA Tiburon for an hour as an 'honorary intern'. I left feeling MUCH smarter. I recommend the experience to everyone.  -this is a quote from an Ex-boyfriend of mine..
