Gain Skills Faster for World Adentures, now with an option at 50%

Ok Here is an option to get the skills at 50% faster, this one goes a bit slower then the faster one, what I mean about 50% is what I did if the points was 1500 I made it 750 which is half the time to do it, enjoy.

The XML in WA is identical to v1.6.6 of the base game, therefore any XML mod for WA will work for the updated base game. YAY for backwards compatibility.

Yes you are right, you can have this in the base game, but you can't have the base faster skill in the WA EP, I tried that and it won't let you train for the martial arts and so on, so yes this will work in both as the skills write up that is in the base didn't change.

No shit, you can't get the EP skills in base game. (misread)  You said "compatible to the World Adventures only".  Base game uses the exact same XML as WA once you use the v1.6.6 update.  I was simply trying to inform you that your mod was proper for the v1.6.6 base game and not only WA.

Woooow. I tried this out on my sim who only had a level 2 in photography. She took 1 picture and maxed out the skill to level 10. Way to go!!

It's very fast. My sim picked up a paint brush and gained 2 levels right away. She made a meal and went from level 1 to 10 before she hit the stove!!

Ever tried clearing rubble in a tomb without any Athletic skill?  Your Sim would be there for DAYS.

I wish I would have seen this before I just had one of my Sims max a couple of skills by actually DOING them on x3 speed and adjusting her moods.  At least she can finish the rest of them - thanks man.

haha you are not kidding on the length of time taken to clear rubble, mine was an absolute new creation and I actually managed to go make a quick cup of coffee and when I came back she was still at it.

I don't have WA yet - but the base game is so friggan easy to begin with, I'd hate to see skilling over in an instant.

This is one mod i can not live with out i hate all the time it takes to skill them up with out this so thank you for this mod. But i have one question it works well fro teens adults and elders but what about children skills and toddler skills i recently had a sim tot and their skills did not rise as fast as her mom or dads

children skill up fast just like adults and elders. My toddler skilled fast with everything but potty training.

just wanted to let you know that when I uploaded this mod, my sims weren't able to do any interactions whatsoever. Had to uninstall it

I found a problem with the half off version. When it's installed, I can't spar anyone in China regardless of skill level and when I call a sim for a ranked match, the option "Challenge To Ranked Sparring Match" never shows up. I took out the mod and it works again. Can anyone confirm that these options work with the normal one? If so, I'll just use that even though I don't really want instant skills.

I am using the half speed one and I can challenge other Sims to ranked matches and spar. What I am having problems with is Sims unable to drink nectar they just jump out of the sequence and leave glasses all over the lot. I am wondering if this mod is causing that, I will try removing it to see.

If I'm remembering correctly, that was caused by the cough drop mod from MTS.

I tried using the regular version of this, and it's working fine. Although now every single Chinese person in my game now has mastered martial arts. I challenge them just once and they go right to level 10. I'm actually having more fun with the game now that I don't have to worry so much about skilling.

Oh blimey! I know it doesn't help you at all, but I wanted to thank you for letting me know about the cough drop mod. I do have that... Now I have to decide whether it's Sims jumping out of the nectar drinking loop or coughing and spluttering over their food, hmmm.

FYI:  I've discovered this mod is not compatible with Ambitions.  At first it seems to work OK, but the sculpting platform-thing becomes unclickable and the "dabble" option on the inventor's bench stops working. When I take out this mod, those items work fine.  When I put this mod in again, they stop working. Just wanted to let you know.

It was my favorite mod for World Adventures, though.
