issue trying to call people

The wife is suddenly having an issue trying to call people (in Sims 3).  When the majority of her characters reach for any phone, the action cancels itself, no matter how many times she tries to call someone...

Has anyone else ran into this sort of issue?

Why did you post this in Pudding Factory?  This isn't the help section.

Anyways, what sort of hacks/custom content does she have installed, if any at all?  Sounds like it could be a conflict.

Because I made the erroneous assumption that since there was another thread pertaining to tech support of other things, I could safely post here... 

Anyway, it seems to be connected with an invisible sim, and not any of the addons.  I couldn't (discover a way to) delete, kill, or reset this sim, so the 2-hour old OTHER save file had to be reverted to. 

Better than starting all over, I suppose.   Thanks for your time.

I had this happen before, but I can't give you an answer I did the same thing. I will say though it happened to the entire household, yet other households in the same hood could still use the phone.

Not sure if this is the same issue but I had a sim who could not use his cell phone.  I would click on it in inventory and get "no actions avaliable" and I could not click on sims thumbnail to call them from the relationship panel either.  I could however call with a regular wall or desk phone.   I resolved this by using the computer to move him out into some other random famblys home.  When I loaded the famblys home I moved the borked sim to, he was able to use the cell phone from inventory normally again.  I moved him back into his original household and all seems to be resolved now.
