AMAZING Sims story - with a vampire boyband!

OK. I found this link by accident on MTS2: Deception Pass.

It is the most awesome Sims story I have ever seen. The plot is like Poppy Z. Brite and Buffy The Vampire Slayer got together and made beautiful babies. It has:
- cute arty girls.
- pretty musician guys, who are also vampires.
- an adorable gay couple.
- mad scientists. Who are also cute. If you like evil people.
- a very evil rich overlord. And guess what? Even he's cute! But evil.
- some more vampires, some of them quite sexy.
- an amazing kick-ass voodoo grandmother.
- zombies. Human and hamster.

Anyway, if that sounds like your sort of story, definitely check it out. But make sure you have a lot of hours free, first. I'm a fast reader, and even then it's taken me 2 hours to read the first 13 chapters - and I have 3 more to go. It also has a livejournal deception_pass, which you have to go to to read Chapter 16 - that's not on the web site for some reason.

I am totally in awe. And jealous! This story makes mine look completely pathetic! (But wow, do I have a lot to learn!).

I've just read the first 11 chapters and I have a headache from staring at the screen so long, so I've had to stop!  Not sure how long it's taken me, about 1 1/4 hours I think.  I was supposed to be going straight back into my game!  Will read the rest tomorrow, I think.  Need a break from the monitor now.  You're right, it's a very compelling story - thanks for the link.

Yeah, that one is pretty cool. She does a lot of hard work on that! Half of the fun is seeing all of the interesting ways she's set things up in the pictures and wondering where she got the items - and in some cases, trying to figure out just how she got the characters to do what they did.    It's kind of  my 'guilty pleasure' reading because, while the story is engaging, it gets deeply silly in places and drifts all over the place. And, um, it's a story told with Sims. *g*

I guess my post does make it sound like I thought you wrote it, baratron, but I was referring to your last line about having a lot to learn and your stories being pathetic (or something like that).  I think your stories have a lot of charm, and it sounded like you had some ideas to incorporate.  That's what I'm looking forward to. 

Hope this made sense, but since this is my 50th post and I finally get the lips, it might not.

yeah, ignoring the whole train scene paid off.
I read the entire thing last night and only realized today that I'm in serious withdrawal... I need stories. I actually went looking for good stories today but I've already read everything everyone here's written and then some, and nobody seems to be updating anymore, (hint hint, you all know who you are...)

I (already) read Chapter 3 which had one or two pictures per page showing and really enjoyed it. Of course, I'll go back if/when you say more pictures are there, but your story stands up without them

I've realized that what makes a great story is, uh, a great story.
Not a documentation of what Sims can do, but a story of them doing what they don't normally do. I only realized this (duh) because after reading them, I wanted to go into my game, then realized, blah, Sims don't really do those things.
I mean, Mitch and Max are great, but if they were in my game, they'd just be running around trying to play punch you punch me, or burning Lobster Thermidor the second I took my eye off them.

Great story, I really liked Freeze Pop too, there's something about incorporating that sneaky 'Mad Scientist' thing that really appeals to me.

At this point, I'm more amused than anything else. I could've uploaded the pictures to my own web site a dozen times over and had time left for dessert. Now it's a battle of wills. Who will crack first? Me or the LiveJournal Business Entity? Heh.
