Missing saves

   I went into my game just now and my sim valley 1 is missing. It shows a house with nothing it it and it wont let me click it. I went into saved games and took out the sim valley1 file hoping the backup would bring it back but that didnt work. How can i get that saved game back. Im running on windows xp. I have no hacks in the game at this time. im patched up and had no problems until this morning . Oh yeah yesterday i did compress DCCache, Dccbackup and the monkey files. But i dont see how that would of bornked my saved game neoborhood.

You need to rename the backup file to a normal sims3 file for it to work. Did you remove the .backup part of the filename before trying to run it?

 No i didnt thanks for the help i did what you said and got my save back thanks! Didnt even loose much progress either.

I really do also have to point out that if this person would have searched the forums they would have found that this has already come up numerous times in various forums (one of which was my problem also).
