Yep, me, too, and there's no way to call and ask for a day off. Wasted all those points for nothing!

Vacationer is basically useless, yes. It does not prevent the performance loss from not being at work, it mostly just makes it less horrible. But since it is ALREADY murderous, all it REALLY does is make it less horrific if you are merely late. If you let it miss the entire day, the penalties are still murderous.
