Experiment: Opportunities and Community Lots. Need volunteers.

In the spirit of MOAR SCIENCE, and in the hope of generating at least some useful knowledge for those of us attempting to hack together an interesting custom neighborhood, I've decided to run a few experiments. Hopefully Pescado might be able to answer some of these, but if not, I've decided to begin by breaking it up into a series of small, limited experiments.
Question #1: Can community lots be deleted from the default neighborhood without affecting opportunities?
1a. Can career lots/job be deleted from the default neighborhood without eliminating available jobs and careers?
1b. Can residential lots be deleted without eliminating opportunities?
Question #2: If not, does this hold true for all community lots?
Question #3: If not, which lots must be kept in order to keep all possible neighborhood opportunities available?
Possibilities include: only career lots and the school, only lots in in which you can't see inside, or only parks--defined as lots in which there are no buildings or special opportunities available, only plants and water.
It isn't easy to prove a negative, so we'll go a bit at a time. I'm not going to do 1b here, because we can control for those factors.
Procedure for Stage One--Gathering Data, Data Submittal
In order to answer these questions, we need to know which opportunities exist in the first place, what triggers them, and where they must take place (when applicable). We need a list of opportunities that are in the game. Volunteers for this need not be a part of the actual experiment to submit an opportunity for the list. Opportunities that become available to your sims in the game should be submitted in this thread, and I will add them to the list.
INFORMATION. Please include in your post:
1) brief description of opportunity
2) work/school performance of the sim,
3) where they were when they got the opportunity/ how they got it
4) the sim's traits,
5) the sim's skills
6) the sim's full and/or part time job
7) the sim's life stage,
their moodlets and mood,
9) if the opportunity requires the sim to visit another lot, which lot, and
10) If completing the opportunity requires interaction with a specific sim (like some lame interview thing), please include the relationship with the target sim, and whether or not they know each other.
11) Any other conditions that might be different from other setups, like inventory, collections, etc.
DO NOT SUBMIT OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE LIST THAT SOMEONE ELSE HAS ALREADY POSTED.
Trial One, Procedure. Subject to change
This round will take place in a neighborhood in which all sims have been removed by Pescado's experimental destroyallhumans hack (next round will be default hood unless otherwise noted). Volunteers should download a special cleansed neighborhood which I will link to in this post at the start of the first trial. The sim family will be provided for download as well. The family will consist of 2 sims for download, 1 sprog, and one adult parent sim. All sims must remain unemployed. They may roam the neighborhood at will. They may not hire any service sims, or even call for services. Don't start fires. They may
NOT
purchase things from community lots, or visit any lot where you can't see inside/view with walls down.
Control Group:
Default hood cleansed of all humans, and with all residential lots razed from the map. All community lots will remain in place.
Experimental Group:
Default hood cleansed of all humans, with all residential lots razed from the map. All community lots will be bulldozed, except for the static buildings you can't see inside.
The results of trial one will help to determine what needs to be tested for trial two.
I will post in this thread when we start trial one
. Opportunities that result from the trial should be submitted in the same format as for gathering list data above. Volunteers should also submit potential error logs by attaching them to their post. Data collection for the list starts now. Volunteers for the experiment itself should PM me instead of posting their intentions in this thread.
ETA: got some answers from a very busy Pescado, so we get to jump ahead. Update coming. Submitting info on the list of opportunities is still useful pre-lab, however.
ETA2: I have spreadsheet with all the opportunities from the PRIMA guide. We now need to verify them as true or false, as well as check for missing entries from the list. Please see the attachment to this post. Thanks jesslla!

Name of Opportunity:Outstanding Tasting Ingredients.
1) Deliver three outstanding or better fruits or vegetables to Adam Summer to earn some money. Resulted in 700$, you are unable to select the fruits you turn in if you are carrying more than three of outstanding or better quality.
2) Unemployed.
3) At home tending to his over-sized garden.
4) Brave, Loves the Outdoors, Technophobe, Green Thumb, Athletic.
5) Logic 4; Athletic 10; Cooking 4; Fishing 7; Gardening 10; Guitar 3; Handiness 2.
6) Unemployed.
7) Young Adult.
9 ) Mood: Very Happy. Moodlets: Having a Blast, One with Nature.
9) N/A.
10) Adam Summer, one of my other sims who is on a different lot and thus not active; 40%~ at friend status.
11) Owned the local market- the one between the theater and the bistro.
The interesting thing for this is that Adam Summer is another sim I made; as in not native to the neighborhood. I was previously unaware that inactive households could give active ones opportunities.

Okay folks, thanks to my disloyal AIDE jesslla and her mad typing skills, we now have a spreadsheet with every opportunity from the PRIMA guide. For the next step in this project, we need to CONFIRM which listed opportunities are correct, and which are total crap, since the Prima guides are notoriously unreliable. I will then keep an updated list of actual opportunities in the game. Please see the first post for the attachment. We also need a better idea of what triggers these opportunities than the PRIMA guide "hint," which half the time is only a description of the opportunity.
Looking at the list in this guide, it appears that while many of the opportunities require the rabbitholes in order to work in the game (not a big surprise there), it doesn't seem to require that your sim visit any of the generic non-rabbithole community lot types to complete or trigger an opportunity (like a gym or an art gallery)--this needs confirmation, too. The generic community lots do seem to be linked to the local community events, though I still haven't had a chance to test whether these scripted events (like the chess competition) will work properly in custom neighborhoods, or whether they are tied to certain objects rather than different lot types, etc.

From my experiments making the More Frequent Opportunities mod, opportunities don't "trigger" like wishes. All you need to get an opportunity is to meet the requirements listed in the XML (normally just min/max skill level or job rank), patience, and luck. When I set the min and max days between opportunities to 0 it became evident (you don't actually want to do that, the game will lock up around 11 PM, but you'll get shloads of opportunities that day). I tested a sim with only one low level skill and he kept popping the same 3 opportunities, where a sim with many high level skills had tons of variety.

Right, so which ones do they get, and do they all seem to occur with about the same frequency?
