Ctrl-click to remove moodlets - testingcheatsenabled
anonymouscoward:
I just noticed that Ctrl-Clicking on a moodlet removes that moodlet from your sim when testingcheatsenabled is true. RLD.
Couldn't think of a better place to post. :) Hope this is the appropriate forum....if not, sorry for causing the moderators the inconvenience of removing it (or me, as the case may be). ;)
I wonder what other things are ctrl-clickable.....

Does deleting them cause any change to the sim's needs or something? I've noticed that they will refuse to do certain actions when some of their needs are low, but I didn't notice anything about the moodlets that would affect the sim. I think they are like short-term memories and that's all they do.
anonymouscoward:
The moodlets effect what was called the aspiration level in TS2 (the vertical green or yellow bar) for the duration shown under the moodlet, so yes short term memories would be an appropriate description.
teaislovely:
They do affect your Sim ie: if you drink a cup of coffee you get a moodlet from it, while that moodlet is in effect you cannot go to sleep (the option is greyed out and mentions the moodlet when you hover over the sleep option).
So some of them are definitely more than just short term memories.

Actually, it is more of a relocated mood bar (hence moodlets), and it replaces two non-critical needs of a sim (environment, which effectively still functions the same, and comfort, which is no longer chargeable.
And, I hope I am not getting this wrong, but it either effects a change in the mood or affects the mood. The mood is not solely caused by moodlets, although they are a deciding factor.
