Deadlink.  Someone uploaded it without connecting to an account, they cap uploads to 10 times.

Censor hack goes in <Sims 3 Install Dir>/Game/Bin. Preferably make a backup of the file that's already there, then replace it with the one in the zip.

Or if your on mac it's in the Sims 3.app under Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/... the rest is the same as w32

Confirming that censor hack does seem to work when used as instructed above. (I think we may need to get a different thread going, though, as I think this one is mostly intended for Inge's tests?)

I open up the game, it crashes and says this:

Unable to start game

Service initialization failed (0x024e424f)

I clicked okay, then got:

EXCEPTION RAISED

Unhandled exception 0x80000003 at address 0x00575bb6.
Do you wish to debug it ?

I clicked no, for now, but should I debug?

Working fine for me.  Thank God/Cthulhu/Krishna/whatever for the person who delivered this.  The huge pixelation was really starting to hurt my eyes.

Double check that you got the replacement file in there, on my macbook it didn't write the file the first time, and without that file I got a similar (if not the same) error.

I'm in Bin right now and I replaced "Shaders_Win32.precomp" with "Shaders_Win32.7z". I booted up, didn't work, undid it, works fine. Am I needing to change the file name or am I not even supposed to be replacing the former, only putting the latter in?

.7z is an archive, the .precomp file is in it. Get a 7zip extractor.

It will remove the censorship from the sims 3, some might know me from the modding i did for the game the movies, never did modding for the sims 1 or 2 but i might be giving the sims 3 a full time go

Anyways have fun with the sims 3 without the annoying blocks

Edit: tried it again and it works for me. There's a small lag where it looked like he was getting into the shower WITH his clothes on, but then it caught up and he was naked. Yay for no censor!

No problem man, just giving something back this time around for all the fun i had with all the mods you all made for the sims 2 never really did get around to modding the sims 2 myself due to work related stress, but i got some spare time since i got sick at home so i'm been messing around with the sims 3 now just for fun and since a lot of people asked for a censor patch well here it is, it's always the first thing i want to get rid off

That seems to be what Pes has been saying.  Let's hope that we can find some way around this.

It involves a similar amount of rigamarole. It is possible to train the game to accept overrides, but there's an entire song and dance to it.
