Are we better to install the Nightlife patch if we use hacks/mods?

That question pop-up to my head while answering another post, it might be a dumb question but I do wonder.

I am assuming that twojeffs, Pescado, Crammyboy (sorry forgot to mention you at 1st, *bad girl*) and the other modders did install the patch before they created new or upgraded mods/hacks for Nightlife.

My question is, will those mods/hacks works properly for people that don't have the patch install since the said patch did modify some coding in the game?

Is it important to install the patch or it won't make a difference at all in regards of mods/hacks?

It shouldn't make much difference either way. The hacks worked for me before the patch (well all the NL ones anyhow) and nothing really changed with them after. The patch does fix some stuff though so overall I'd reccomend getting it.

I do have the patch install (I install it the day it was out), I mostly ask this question for people that don't since it sounds like something to be consider in the choice of installing it or not.

Thanks, I see that you will install it later, good for you. 

But I still wonder about this question since you are not alone without the patch install, I read a few others did not install it yet.

And it is also just for my personal education

I don't play Uni (is any game more boring than that one?), so I never had any of the bugs associated with the Greek house, etc.  As for the huge amount of character files, I don't think I've ever made it past 200 in any of the neighbourhoods I've ever had.  The other, minor annoyances were all easily taken care of with hacks.

I'm interested in hearing what the pros say as well.
