No need for thanks... It was more of a personal compliment Wink

'Cuz personally I think I've got a very good shot at being a Brynne-type when I grow up... IF I ever decide to grow up, that is. I'll definitely be a girl-type though. The boy-type Brynne's always spell it differently. No one ever seems able to pronounce either.

I'm going to bed now... I fear I'm only making sense to myself at this point.

You should be excited! You, too, can watch me whip rainbow for $4.99 a minute!

OK! Though I think you're a bit cheap, love, and should definitely raise the price. The subscription will be covered in no time, and J.M. can get himself a few extra missiles.

One thing that I would love to fix is the Nanny.

I don't think anyone can fix those nannies. In some warped way, I'm not sure I'd want them to.  Grin

Anyway, Christianlov's nanny functions pretty well you could try his.

And corks for his pop gun!

I don't really care if they fix the nannies or not - I don't use them any more.  Nanny spam, though, is another ball-game, and for the sake of those people still suffering from it, fixing would be good.

I'm about ready to strangle the in-game nannies...I normally use the painting but this time I couldn't (challenge...not that I'm any good at them)

nanny arrives...walks all the way up the stairs...gets to the top...turns around...walks down the stairs...crosses the road...gets in her 'car' and drives off...and charges me 10 simoleans... Shocked

I usually don't use the nannie either, they scare me Cheesy

However, I had a scenario where my vampire sim was asked (during a phone call)  if she wanted to go downtown, and I clicked 'go downtown'. The game then selected her significant other to go on that outing as well, and the dialog popped up to tell me that they needed a nanny, would I want one. Crossing my fingers, I clicked yes. Well, off they went.

Coming home my vampire sim was directed to the nanny to dismiss her and the stupid nanny thought it prudent to throw a water balloon at my vampire sim. The vampire 'bleh'd' the nanny and the animation was hilarious. The dumb nanny cringed and flinched, covered her hears, shuddered and shivered, in short, a wonderful come uppance. It was quite hilarious indeed.

I had one do that to me once. Except she walked in the house, up the stairs, grabbed the shit bag from the potty, went to throw it out in the toilet but couldn't (apparently that bug started with uni, the nannies used to be able to flush them prior to that and my playable sims still can) then walked downstairs to the trash, threw it out and left and yes she did charge me. Wink

and here I thought that was because of the toilet roll throwing them out of the bathroom  Cheesy

Yes, even with the anti-prank hack installed, nannies still prank their employers!  I imagine it's because their motives are very low!

Good, I shall make it a point to hire the nanny just so my vampire can 'bleh' them. Cheesy

Hi ZZ, nice to run into you. If you mean nanny-contagious, that would be very intersting to watch.

How undiginified, don't forget, they are nobility. They don't do things like that Cheesy

Nannies on the other hand... I don't know, but I really don't mind them getting into the most precarious and humiliating situations. I am so shocked at myself.

Could you turn the nannies into vampires?  or zombies?

To be honest with you ZZ, I'm not so sure I want the NPC's bitten. Knowing ea/maxis, that would probably result in a disaster, or a BFBVS.

But to tell you a secret, I have a mod that makes the vampires immune to the sunlight dying thing. I forget where I found it, most likely one of Dizzy's thingies, he's famous for making usefull little things like that. I know it's cheating (sort of), but I got tired of my vampires dropping like flies before I was done with them.

I haven't played vamps much yet. I'm in the midst of buiding a vampire castle, big garage built into a hill, castle on top, internal access to the crypt and garage. I want a vampire dynasty. I have several sims waiting to go. I thought it would be a challenge to try playing when they couldn't go into the light. Do they drop too fast Veilchen? Maybe a hack to slow it down would be good.

Heh, I'm not veilchen, of course, but I thought I'd answer.  When they enter daylight, their motives drop like someone pulled the plug on them.  So unless you want to get to know the Grim Reaper really well through your Resurrect-o-nomitron, a hack would be good.  Either that, or you'll just have a vampire ghost roaming your lot at night.  Carrigon has a hack, but it basically stops the decay altogether.  She says she can't change it so it only drops a little though.
