Cheat Box Won't Open!?

anyone else have this problem before? and if so how can I fix it? I tried to open my cheat box as normal, CTRL Shift C, and it wouldn't open, even after several attempts. I went to buy mode and then back into live mode, etc.... still didn't work! it was working fine earlier today!

This is a known issue caused by spyware installed on your computer. Reformat.

First I suggest that you make sure that your "control" key is not stuck. Mine broke last week, not both at once but within days of each other.

I recently bought the Sims2 Double Deluxe and when I start the game and press ctrl, shift, c to enter a cheat, nothing happens. No command prompt appears. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it still didn't work. So thinking it was the game, I returned it and got a new one and it still does not work!!! I am playing it on an HP laptop with Vista. I used to have the Sims 1 Complete Collection and the command prompt always worked. Why is it not working on this game and can I fix it?

Most likely, you have some other program that utilizes that key combination 100% of the time, so that when you input it, your computer does something in that other program.

If you have an HP, you need to disable the hotkey for HP HealthCheck because it overrides ctrl+alt+c

You need to REFORMAT and REINSTALL THE COMPUTER to remove all the HP embedded spyware. In fact, because they partition your drive really STUPID, you have to repartition the entire drive. Anything else is just a panacea. Accept no Kewian-based substitutes!
