Small glitches with simss, possibly caused by apartment life?

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

This isn't a problem I've caused by breaking something, as none of my hacks make a difference: it's more things I've noticed not working right anyway, small glitches if you will. This thread is also a moan about EAxis's uselessness. Anyway, here they are:

1). Ghosts appearing during the day. Apparently (according to the sims 2 prima guide) this does not happen. I think this has been happening since the base game, but I wouldn't swear it has.
2). In one lot only, when the stereo from glamour life is on, it flashes not only where it's meant to, but pink flashes also appear randomly around the lot, generally on the floor above the stereo, immediately above it, but also occasionally outside.
3). My witch sim can cast spells on ghosts.

Are these normal, or not and is anyone awesome enough to fix them (plus any other minor faults others have noticed)? Alternatively, some advice on fixing them would be helpful, and I could maybe try sorting them myself (though I'm not hopeful, seeing as my modding skills are very non-awesome).

I have all EPs loaded and have never yet seen a ghost during the day.  Pink flashes seem to pop up occasionally on my lots - I had not noticed them being associated with the stereo or anything else specifically, and they don't seem to do anything bad except get in the way during pictures.  Don't know about witches casting spells.

I've had the occasional ghost wandering around in broad daylight for quite some time.  It's definitely not an AL-specific bork.

I've had ghosts in the daytime, but only when the grave has been struck by lightning.  The lightning brings the ghost out for some reason.
