complete re-install in progress - Uni thinks it's up to date. Is it?

I've installed base game, patched it and then added Uni.  I can't install the Uni patch because Uni thinks it's up to date.  I started the game and got version number 1.1.0.286.

1. Is Uni patched already?

2a. If so, how?  I didn't install the patch!
or
2b  If not, how do I patch it?

I'm completely re-installing because I reformatted the HD to re-install Windoze.  This time I've partitioned the drive, so System files are on C:, RL stuff on D: and Sims have their own partition on E:.  It's all running much faster, so it was worth it!

Depends on when you acquired Uni -- after a while, the patched version does become the release version once the old CDs are sold out and EAxis makes new ones.

Thanks - looks like it is patched then.  I guess I got lucky when I bought it on e-bay! 
I'm pleased, but surprised, to hear that EA actually sell fixed versions!  Useful info to pass on!

Odd. My Uni EXE says version is 1.1.0.230 and I'm certain I have all the patches.

Yes it's a later build. I'm not sure why Eaxis would make the versions different. Perhaps they renumber each shipped version rather than using the latest patch version on it for whatever reason.

That's probably it -- when they started shipping the patched version on CD, they just upped the number to distinguish it.  Or they slipped in a minor fix or two that didn't require a full patch, or wasn't a problem for anyone with later EPs.
