I love the texture on Liella clothes, they bring some chic in my often rural neighbourhoods. However, even when wearing formal dresses, my Sims like to do active stuff like, you know, seating.

There's a fixed version on PMBD.  You might have that, unless you paid for it.    (Also IIRC the problem only occurs for certain ages?)

I can't find a decent article on pattern recognition abilities, based on gender, that is accessible to me without logins for various pages. I've only spent about 15 minutes looking and don't have time today unfortunately.

I did find a Swedish study which reckons females are better at recognising faces.

The women had higher correct answer frequencies then men in all face recognition questions they answered.

Although it goes on to say that hairstyles degrade pattern recognition performance in all. So you were performing especially well for a male, JM.

Ah, but my facial recognition is terrible and probably severely atrophied because I simply don't recognize people by their faces as a primary mode of identification. I use my shark sense for identification, which are much more reliable. Plus, I'm not identifying the sim. I'm identifying the constructional style of the mesh.
