Quick Question about the AL no-cd crack

So I finally got around to installing my arred AL.  I copied the two exe files from the Crack directory on the "cd" created by mounting the iso and put them into the Program Files\EA Games\Sims2 Apartment Life\TSBin folder (these files are called rlds2e8.exe and Sims2EP8.exe - the latter replaced the original Sims2EP8.exe).  However, the desktop icon appears to be a shortcut to something called Sims2Launcher.exe and not the Sims2EP8.exe.

Questions: What does Sims2Launcher.exe do?  What is rlds2e8.exe for? Will running Sims2Launcher put Securom on my computer?  Will running Sims2EP8 start the game as normal?

You need to create a new shortcut for your desktop from the SIMS2EP8.exe that you replaced in TSBin.  Instructions for this are in numerous threads already including the securom sticky at the top.

The rld2e8.exe is the keygen, I think.  Try running it to see.  For further info on the sims2launcher please use the search function on this site.

And yes, we are a bit tired that people seem  incapable of using the search function.
