Playing with puddles in the rain is my way of discovering sims with a death wish. If they get sick because they were acting like a 6 outside, they don't get coddling. YOU got yourself sick by doing something STOOPID. Now you get to act like an adult and stay on your feet all day. Or they just volunteered to write everyone's term paper.

Puddles are not known to be associated with the plague in any way.

But playing outside in the rain gets you sick doesn't it? Or only if it's cold?

No, it doesn't. If you don't have warmthfixes, the results are even MORE backwards. See "Temperature Studies" in the War Room for details. Warmthfixes corrects both the overflow bugs pertaining to broken capping and fixes it so the plague-contraction effects work sensibly.

I think Jelenedra's talking about real life.

I got pneumonia while playing in puddles in the rain while I was three. It was also early December and I was in my underwear, so...yeah.

Yeah, silly me for expecting the game to work like real life. Logic fail.

Can we have a shiney that makes stupid puddle stompers sick?

Post hoc ergo prompter hoc fallacy. Puddles do not give pneumonia in real life. You caught it from someplace else, and although hypothermia certainly doesn't help, the disease must already exist, you cannot catch it from the puddle.
