Where have all the textures gone? K&B issue

Just installed K&B today.   I made sure that I had a non-problem causing download folder (just things for bodyshop and default replacements that I have used many times before and have worked fine).  When I loaded up my game and decided to go to CAS, I began to have issues.  All the textures (or maybe it's the alphas) for hair, both custom and Maxis are showing the white background with the letters on it.  The clothing apparently has an all white alpha because everything in the texture file is showing on the sim.  From the neck down all you see is texture covering the mesh with no actual sim skin.  The face for the sim seems to be perfectly fine though.  Some hair shows up properly but majority do not.

I am not sure if I should do about this.  Suggestions?

EDIT: I have all of the expansions and stuff packs and my FT is unpatched.

I had that happen with some hairs -- ended up having to dig out older EP disks and re-install the skins.package and related stuff to get them back.  PITA.

It looks as if you have two sets of default replacement skin sets in, or one set and you've deleted some skins related to it. Which I believe is my problem at the moment. Have a look at the Wiki.

It ended up being an issue with the skins package.  Once I replaced the file, everything started to work the way it supposed to.
